way to go

There are these times, when I just want to hit my head really hard on something--not that I'll do it, of course. Poor head of mine--it's practically empty, why'd I have to damage it even more?

Things are going relatively fine, conversation's pretty good--I mean, it's not made up of "hehe" and "haha" for once--and I just have to blow it off. It's funny, it's assuming, it's definitely unfounded. It may be purely hallucinatory, even. But what if, in between one reply and the other, and the shuffling of status messages--what if I did screw something up? sabay na lang tayo. What's so effin' hard in saying it?

We bit our lips. She looked out the window
Rolling tiny balls of napkin paper
I played a quick game of chess with the
Salt and pepper shaker.
And I could see clearly
An indelible line was drawn
Between what was good, what just
Slipped out and what went wrong.

Oh, the way she feels about me has changed.
Thanks for playing, try again.

Natatawa ako sa sarili ko kasi hindi ko alam kung bakit ako ganito. Kaya tumawa na lang tayo. Hahahahahaha.

i love this song. it's so perfect. siguro when you see something possibly good, it's scary how easily you can screw things up.
